Finding Your Calling:

How do you know that you were called by God?

This is a question that many people ask themselves, especially when they face challenges, doubts, or uncertainties in their lives.

How can we be sure that God has a purpose and a plan for us?

How can we recognize His voice and His guidance?

How can we discern His will from our own desires and preferences?

There is no simple or definitive answer to this question because God speaks to each person in different ways and at different times. However, there are some common signs and indicators that can help us to know that we are called by God. Here are some of them:

- You have a deep and personal relationship with God. You spend time with Him in prayer, worship, and reading His Word. You seek His presence and His direction in everything you do. You love Him with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength.

- You have a passion and a burden for something that aligns with God's heart. You feel a strong desire to serve Him in a specific area, ministry, or mission. You have a vision of what God wants to do through you and for His glory.

- You have confirmation from other people who know you and know God. You receive affirmation, encouragement, and counsel from godly mentors, leaders, and friends. They confirm your calling and support you on your journey.

- You have peace and joy in your calling. You experience a sense of fulfillment and satisfaction in doing what God has called you to do. You have a deep conviction that this is what you were created for and what you are meant to do.

- You have challenges and opposition in your calling. You face difficulties, trials, and resistance from the enemy or from people who do not understand or agree with your calling. You have to overcome obstacles, fears, and doubts in order to follow God's call.

These are some of the ways that you can know that you were called by God.

Of course, this is not an exhaustive list, nor is it a formula that guarantees certainty. Ultimately, knowing your calling is a matter of faith and trust in God's sovereignty and goodness. He will reveal His call to you as you seek Him with all your heart and obey Him with all your strength.
